Obituary of Shirley Bilbo

Shirley M. Bilbo, recently of Lockport, NY a longtime resident of El Paso, TX, passed away February 16, 2009. Born June 7, 1926 in Libby, Montana she was the daughter of Raymond W. and Myrtle G. (Ledbetter) Nessly. Shirley attended the University of Texas at El Paso. She worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse at the Vista Hills Health Care Facility in El Paso, Texas. Shirley was a member of the El Paso Archaeological Society (Archivist), the El Paso Museum of Archaeology, the Franklin Mountains Wilderness Coalition, the El Paso Corral of Westerners and was a Senior Volunteer with the El Paso Zoo. She was also a life member of the Phi Mu Sorority. She enjoyed reading and gardening. Shirley was predeceased by her husband Lt. Col. Thomas J. Bilbo (Retired) in 1975.
Shirley is survived by her children Michael J. (Barbara) Bilbo, Pamela R. (David) Serafin, Anne K. (Michael) Bilbo-Schill and Steven C. Bilbo. She is the grandmother of Zachary A., Jessica F., Samuel D. Serafin, Jacob N. and Christian E. Bilbo.
There will be no prior visitation. A memorial service will be held, in El Paso, TX at a day and time to be announced. Interment will be Tuesday, February 24th at 11 AM in the Riverside Memorial Park, Spokane, WA. Please visit www.pruddenandkandt.com for online condolences.
