Mary E. Urtel passed away Saturday February 14, 2009 in the Niagara Hospice House. Born December 5, 1929 in Hudson, NY, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Marion Wildermuth Brennan. Mary worked for 30years at Harrison Radiator, in Lockport. She was a member of the Legion of Mary, and volunteered with the funeral brunches at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church. Mary enjoyed crocheting, baking and was a follower of the Route 66 Band with her special friend Howard Hartz. She is predeceased by her husband Norman G. Urtel, who passed away in 2001. Mary is survived by her children Lisa M. Urtel of Lockport, Patricia A. Howard of Batavia and Fr. Donald Van Alstyne of Fort Bliss. San Antonio, TX. Grandmother of Justin D. and Brandon M. Urtel both of Lockport, Kyle J. and Kelley E. Howard both of Batavia. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday 4 to 7 PM at Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Wednesday morning at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport. Memorials to the church would be appreciated by the family. <h3>Visitation</h3> Tuesday, February 17, 2009 from 4 to 7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home <h3>Services</h3> A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist RC Church
