Yvonne M. LeVeque passed away January 28, 2009 in Niagara Hospice House. Born April 25, 1938 in Lockport she was the daughter of the late Fred A. and Lillian (Henrick) Newman. Yvonne worked as a telephone operator for New York Telephone. She enjoyed gardening, ceramics, camping and especially spending time with her family.
Yvonne is survived by her husband Ted LeVeque of Lockport; mother of Joni (Timothy) Holden of Virginia and Elizabeth (John) Skakuj of Hamlin, NY; grandmother of Danny, David Holden and Jack Skakuj; sister of Donald Newman of Pittsburgh, PA and Loraine Bell of Evergreen Park, IL; also survived by her niece Sandy Machelski, several other nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Relatives and friends may call Saturday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where funeral services will beheld Sunday at 1 PM. Memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the family.
