Ruth Fronczak Obituary

Ruth Fronczak passed away January 24, 2009 at Lockport Memorial Hospital. Born September 20, 1920 in North Tonawanda she was the daughter of the late Henry and Katherine (Miller) Weinheimer. Ruth was an active member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ on Mapleton Road where she was a past member of the Woman's Guild. She worked for the Starpoint School District in the cafeterias for 32 years and also was a waitress at the Tonawanda Sportsmen Club. Ruth loved socializing with people and especially loved spending time with her family.


Ruth is predeceased by her husband Casimir. She is survived by her four children, Beverly (late Ralph) Biddle of New Mexico, Gary (Maureeen) Fronczak of Gasport, Wayne (Lynn) Fronczak of South Carolina, and Terry (Sherry Soltow) Fronczak of Lockport. She is predeceased by her brother and sister Henry Weinheimer and Barbara (late Alfred) Breitenbach. Ruth is also survived by nine grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.


Relatives and friends may call Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM and Thursday 10-11 AM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where funeral services will immediately follow at 11 AM. Interment will be private. Memorials to St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 3921 Mapleton Road, North Tonawanda, NY 14120 would be appreciated by the family. P
