Obituary of Russel Bunger

Russel C. "Rusty" Bunger, III passed away suddenly July 10, 2009. Born September 24, 1942 in Dayton, OH he was the son of the late Russel C. and Mary (Goolsby) Bunger, II and grandson of the late Russel and Kate Bunger. Rusty graduated from ITT School of Technology where he earned his certificate in Tool Design. He worked 36 years with General Motors/Delphi Thermal Systems on tool design and product engineering design, Rusty worked till 1984 in Moraine, OH then was moved to Lockport headquarters to join computer design. He was a member of the Harrison's G-9 Management Club where Rusty served as president in 1993, earned the John Meeks Sr. Award of G-9 Management Club in 1996, was a member of the Harrison Bowling League, Harrison Ski Club, Harrison Golf Club and the Greater Dayton Corvette Club. Rusty enjoyed boating on the Niagara River, visiting at Placid Harbor Marina, vacationing in Bradenton, FL, skiing at Holiday Valley, snowmobiling in Old Forge, hunting, working on cars, and making new friends and drawing old one's closer. Rusty will always be remembered for spending time with his family and his selfless giving to others. Rusty is survived by his wife Elizabeth "Libby" Bunger of Lockport; father of Dawn (James "Jamie") Copperthite of Lockport and Russel C. "RC" (Milena) Bunger, IV of Shelby Township, MI; grandfather of Renee, Bryan Copperthite, Curtis, Michaela and Nathan Bunger; nephew of Sharon (Leland) Lebsack of Grandbury, TX and Bill (JoAnn) Brelsford of Paducah, KY and the late Tom (Beverly) Rose; cousin of Bud (Sue) Rose of Urbana, OH and Chee-Chee Rose of Springsboro, OH. Friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 6-9 PM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 AM in Lockport Alliance Church, 555 Davison Rd., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
