Doreen E. Fritton passed away on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009 at the Erie County Medical Center after a valiant 8 month struggle with cancer. She was born in Lockport, N.Y. on March 4, 1936 to the late Gordon Allaart and Wilhelmina Degnan and has been a lifelong resident of Lockport. She attended St. Joseph's Academy. In the early years of her retirement she enjoyed golfing almost daily at the Niagara County Golf Course. Doreen was an avid football fan, always supporting the Buffalo Bills and setting time aside weekly for the televised Sunday and Monday night NFL games. She enjoyed playing cards and frequently entered many of Lockport's local "bid pitch" tournaments.
She is survived by three daughters, Donna (William) Fiegl of Lockport, Vickie Richardson of Appleton, NY and Suzanne Adams of Lockport; two sons, Mark Budde and Brian Budde of Texas; two brothers, Morse Wayne McNall of Middleport and Wm. Keith (Diane) McNall of Lockport, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
