Obituary of Clarence Bright

Clarence F. Bright went to be with his Lord on Friday, October 26, 2007 at 90 years of age. He was born January 13, 1917 in Gifford, PA, son of the late David and Myrtle (Crawford) Bright. He married Belle Edna Tennies on July 18, 1948 in Vestal, NY.
Clarence retired as an engineer from the Lehigh Valley Railroad after 34 years of service. He had previously been employed by Curtis Wright Aircraft and the B&O Railroad. Clarence was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Lockport where he had served as a deacon and transporter, and was involved in the Young at Heart Class and Helping Hands Ministry.
In addition to his wife Belle of 59 years; Mr. Bright is survived by three sons, Gary (Linda) of Phoenix, James (Betty) of Gasport, and Jon of Charlottesville. Mr. Bright is the grandfather of Michael (Laurel), Jaime (Jens Hansen), Jonathan, Kimberly, Vanessa, Zachary, Jennifer (Simon) Prewett, and Jaclyn. Great grandfather of Kailie, Levi, Ella Bright and Josiah, Jarrett, Joel Hansen. Clarence was predeceased by two brothers, Vernon and John.
Clarence was known for his quick wit, love of music and his faithfulness to his Savior, Jesus Christ.
Friends may call Monday evening 7 to 9 PM at Prudden and Kandt 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. Visitation at 10 AM Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Church, Lincoln and Beattie Avs, Lockport, where services will be held at 11 AM officiated by Pastor Lewis Manwarren, followed by burial in Wheatfield Cemetery. Memorials gratefully accepted to Calvary Baptist Church.
