Obituary of Virginia Barnwell

Virginia Schiffert Barnwell passed away suddenly March 30, 2010 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born October 7, 1925 in Lockport she was the daughter of Cornelius and Irene (Keller) Schiffert. Virginia enjoyed gardening, watching programs on WNED and was supporter of Catholic Charities. She was predeceased by her husband John Barnwell. Virginia is survived by her siblings Mary (James) Burns of Chagrin Falls, OH, James (the late Ann) Schiffert of Lockport, John (Judith) Schiffert of Williamsville and the late Cornelius, Gerald and Gordon Schiffert; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Monday 2-5 PM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 AM in All Saints Parish at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, 76 Church Street, Lockport. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
