Joseph John Kalinowski passed away Friday November 28, 2008 at the Elderwood Healthcare at Oakwood in Williamsville.� Born April 27, 1914 in New Haven, Ct., he was the son of the late Marion and Theresa Kalinowski Kwiatkowski.� Joseph served in the US Army during World War II, after the war he worked for Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton, NY, until retiring in 1979.� He was a member of the Jayne-Lattin VFW Post 2918 and the Knights of Columbus #725 both in Patchogue, NY.� Joseph was also a member of St. Gregory the Great Parish in Williamsville, NY.� He is predeceased by his wife Frances Kalinowski, who passed away in 1976. � Joseph was the father of Lawrence (Nancy) Kalinowski of Williamsville, Thomas (Jackie) Kalinowski of Saranac Lake, NY and Andrew (Jane) Kalinowski of Columbus, MS.; grandfather of Bart, Kevin, Elisa, Daniel, Laura and David and great grandfather of David.� Joseph is also survived by his sister Helen Kalinowski of Patchogue, NY and several nieces and nephews. � Services will be held in Patchogue, NY.� Interment will be in� Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Coram, NY.� Memorials to Catholic Charities, 525 Washington Street, Buffalo, NY 14203 would be appreciated by the family. �
