Obituary of Joseph Harzewski

Joseph L. Harzewski, Sr. passed away October 4,2007 in Inter Community Memorial Hospital. Born February 7,1915 in Bayonne, New Jersey, the son of Stanley and Mary Gorecka Harzewski. Joseph retired from Bell Aeronautics where he was an assembler. He enjoyed a long, dignified and fruitful retirement caring, for his wife Florence, enjoying family, fishing and being a big fan of horseracing.
He is survived by his loving wife Florence Polcyn Harzewski; father of Joseph (Frances) Harzewski,Jr., Stanley (Diane) Harzewski, Patricia (Francis) Licata and the late Richard J. Harzewski, Sr. He also was the father in law of Andrea Harzewski and grandfather of Daniel Schrader, Lisa (Al) Franco, Joanne (Mark) Allmeter, Rachel (Scott) Huntington, Joseph Harzewski,III, Carrie Harzewski, Benjamin Harzewski, William (Heather) Harzewski, Gregory Harzewski, Francis (Kathleen) Licata, Charlene (Daniel) Conley, Jennifer (John) Ossont, Lisa (Michael) Gardepe, Theresa (Gregory) Fry and Richard Harzewski. He also leaves seventeen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no prior visitation, relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Thursday October 11,2007 at 10:30 AM in St. Mary's Church, Gasport, NY. Memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY, DeSales Catholic School, 6914 Chestnut Ridge Road, Lockport, NY 14094 or the charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
