George Payne Sr. passed away September 25, 2007 in Lockport Memorial Hospital.� Born March 20, 1920 in Greenville, Alabama he was the son of Joseph and Betty Cook Payne.� George worked in the parks department for the City of Lockport retiring in 1983.� He enjoyed going fishing.� George was predeceased by his wives Glenda VanCleve and Joan Davis.� The family of George would like to thank his Mt. View Health Care Facility Family. � George is survived by his children Vera Mack of Buffalo, Sylvia (Joe) Speight, Dolores Rountree, Adah Bailey all of Lockport, Clara Payne of Buffalo, Anderson Davis Sr., George Payne Jr., Joseph Vernon Payne, Andre Payne all of Lockport and Julie Payne of Buffalo and the late Wiley Womack, Betty Bell and Jeffrey Fritz; grandfather of 32 and great grandfather and great-great grandfather of several.� He was the brother of the late Abby McCoy, Roberta Woods, Nancy McCoy and Alphonso Payne.� He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends. � Relatives and friends may call Saturday and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 AM.� Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. <h3>Visitation</h3> Visitation Times
