Edna Davis Obituary

Edna (Gibson) Davis departed this life unexpectedly Tuesday, September 11, 2007.� Born April 1, 1940 she was one of a trio of twins (fourteen children) to the late William and Berthella Gibson in Clio, South Carolina.� Edna attended school in Washington D.C. before moving to Lockport in 1957.�


Edna attended the First AME Church where she was baptized in 1979.�


She enjoyed taking care of her family and home, attending church, sewing and gardening.� She worked for Harrison Radiator for 30 years in production retiring in 1998.�



Edna is survived by her loving husband Elnathan Davis of Lockport; beloved mother of Vera (Hubert) Gibson-Carroll, Jane (Adam) Pepper, Tyrone Moore, Michael (Theresa) Davis, Julia (Roland Powell) Davis; step-mother of Cassandra (Donald) Leverret; sister of Morris (Annie) Gibson of Lockport, James Gibson of Washington D.C., Jean Smith and Jane E. Bostic both of Baltimore, MD and the late Alberta Phillips, Sidney, Joseph, Daniel, Horris, Leroy and Edward Sr. (her twin) Gibson; sister-in-law of Jacqueline Gibson of Lockport; grandmother of nine and great grandmother of ten.



Relatives and friends may call Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport.� Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12 noon in the First A.M.E. Church, 123 South Street, Lockport.� Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery.
