Obituary of Joan Langdon

Joan A. Langdon of Lockport, passed away March 21, 2010 in the Niagara Hospice House. She was born July 7, 1931 in Lockport, the daughter of Arthur and Helen (McGowan) Drier. Joan always loved being around family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she also enjoyed cooking and sharing a good glass of wine. Gardening, her pets and card club were also pleasures in her life. She was a former member of the Eagles Aerie #825 Auxiliary. Joan is survived by her husband Leo L. Langdon; mother of Linda (Fred) Manzer of Stafford,VA, Douglas Langdon, Paula (Richard) Neumann and Virginia (Thomas) London all of Lockport. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; sister of Betty (Bert) Martin, Marilyn (William) Stevens, Newfane and the late John Drier; sister in law of Phyllis Drier and also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Relative and friends may call Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where prayers will be offered Thursday morning at 9:30 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 o'clock in St. John the Baptist Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 in Joan's memory would be appreciated by the family. Thursday morning at 9:30, in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 o'clock in St. John the Baptist Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport.

Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
