Okey M. Riffle passed away September 4, 2007 after a brief illness in Erie County Medical Center.� Born April 15, 1926 in Orlando, West Virginia he was the son of Walter and Alice Riffle.� Okey worked as a crane operator for Guterl Special Steel Corp. for 33 years retiring in 1984.� He was an avid bowler and also enjoyed throwing horse shows, hunting and gardening.

Okey is survived by his wife of 54 years Janet Ide Riffle of Lockport whom he married January 12, 1953.� He is also survived by his late nephew, who was like a son to him, the late Vance (Judy) McHenry of Gasport.� Okey was the grandfather of Chad (Sandra) McHenry of Butner, NC and Jodi McHenry of Gasport.� He is the brother of Prudy (Benny) Jones of West Virginia and the late Lillie McHenry-Bright, Roy Riffle, Everett Riffle, Argle Riffle, Thomas Riffle and Daisy Townsend.� Okey is also survived by several special nieces and nephews, several longtime friends and "Lady" his dog.

Friends may call Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport.� Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 AM in Royalton Community Church, 8457 Bunker Hill Road, Gasport.� Interment will be in Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery.
