Mary "Betty" Thompson Obituary

Mary E. "Betty" Thompson passed away Thursday August 23, 2007 in the Niagara Hospice House.� Born February 2, 1928 in Lockport, she was the daughter of the late John and Ellen Lanighan Graf.� She graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in 1946 and the St. Joseph Business School in 1947.� Betty was a bookkeeper at Emil Von Dungen in Lockport for 35 years retiring in 1982.� She was a former member of Niagara-Orleans Country Club and enjoyed reading.� Betty is predeceased by her husbands Elwood Johnson, who passed away in 1977 and Clarence J. Thompson, who passed away in 2005.



Betty is survived by her brother Dr. John E. (M. Jean) Graf of Winter Park, Fl., and her step children Donald J. (Patricia) Thompson of Sanborn, Sharon Fornes of Pompana Beach, Fl., Tommy F. Thompson of Manistee, Mich. and Marcia (Ronald) Altman of Solomons, Md.�� She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.



Friends may call Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Inc., 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where prayers will be offered Tuesday morning at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport.� Memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 or to the church would be appreciated by the family.
