Obituary of Herbert Hobbs

Herbert J. Hobbs passed away August 22, 2007 in Odd Fellows &amp; Rebekah Health Care Facility.� Born April 2, 1913 in Hartland he was the son of William and Carolyn Hensal Hobbs.� Herbert worked as a mechanic for 20 years at Bewley Construction.� He was an active member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Gasport, enjoyed bike riding and walking and will be remembered as the "Candyman".�� Herbert was predeceased by his wife Florence Parker on April 2, 1993. � Herbert is survived by his daughter Linda (Kenneth) Belfield of Gasport.� He was the grandfather of Mark (Anne) Belfield of Churchville, NY, Todd Belfield of Jeddo, NY, Julia (Frank) Nappi of Massapequa, NY and Matthew (Bonnie) Belfield of Burlington, VT; great grandfather of Charles, Andrew, Martin, Benjamin, Daniel Belfield, Nicholas and Anthony Nappi and Airanna Belfield.� He is also survived by his special friend Dorothy McIntyre of Lockport.� Herbert was also predeceased by his sister Mildred Hobbs and brother Howard Hobbs. � Friends may call Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport.� Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11 AM in the Zion Lutheran Church, 4447 Central Avenue, Gasport, NY 14067.� Interment will be in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery.� Memorials to the church and the Odd Fellow and Rebekah Health Care Facility, 104 Old Niagara Road, Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the family. <h3>Visitation</h3> Visitation Times
