Obituary of Edward Cain

Edward J. "Jerry" Cain passed away on Tuesday November 4, 2008, in Niagara Hospice House in Lockport.� Born on April 12, 1941 in Lockport, NY, he was the son of the late Edward and Agnes (Morton) Cain.

Jerry attended Lockport Senior High and enlisted into the US Navy in April 1959.� As a "Seabee" he served in Spain, Cuba, and Vietnam along with other stateside Naval Bases.� After 20 years of service he retired in April 1978 to the Fleet Reserve.� He worked briefly at Harrison Radiator and then at the Veterans Hospital in Buffalo as a carpenter and locksmith, where he retired January 3, 2003 after 20 years of service.

Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling but most of all as a Buffalo Sabre season ticket holder, he enjoyed going to the hockey games with his sister Janet.

Jerry is survived by his wife Patricia A. (Downey) Cain.� Father of Kimberly (Eddie) Cole, Patricia (John) Kent, Jeri (Paul) Guerra and James (Tammy) Cain all of Norfolk, Va.� Brother of Janet (late Duane) Bruning of Lockport, Jack (Beverly) Cain of Lockport, William (Christine) Cain of Middleport.� Also survived by 17 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.� Jerry also leaves his animal children Belle, Honey, Willow and Tager.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday 7 to 9 PM and Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 AM.�� Interment will be in Hartland Central Cemetery.� In lieu of flowers, should friends desire memorial donations, may be made to Niagara Hospice House, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the family.��
