Dudley T. Oldham of Lockport, passed away on November 2, 2008 at Niagara Hospice House. He was the son of James and Katherine Oldham. A lifelong resident of Lockport, Mr. Oldham attended Lockport Schools and the University of Buffalo.� A veteran of WWII, Mr. Oldham served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Jorhat, India and Chang Du, China as an air traffic controller. He was a member of The Hump Pilot's Association.� Following the war, he joined his father's business, Smith's Pharmacy, operating the drug store until his retirement in 1985. At the time of his retirement, Smith's Pharmacy was Lockport's oldest pharmacy. Mr. Oldham was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, the Olcott Yacht Club, and a member and volunteer at the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum in North Tonawanda. Mr. Oldham was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Betty Reef Oldham.

He is survived by his children, Deborah (Douglas) Bathke of North Tonawanda, Thomas Oldham of Olcott, and Mary Beth (William) Jones of St. Augustine, Florida; brother of Janice Oldham of Lockport and the late J. Revitt Oldham, Geraldine Turgeon and Katherine Oldham.

Friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where prayers will be offered Friday at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport.� Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.� In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice House, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the family.
