Obituary of Rose Laskey

Rose Laskey passed away March 17, 2010 in Briody Health Care Facility. Born September 14, 1924 in Lockport she was the daughter of Salvatore and Rosalia (Ronchetti) Sansone. Rose worked for Mercy Home Care, Lockport where she was a home health aide for 25 years and worked for Norton Laboratories in production for 30 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church where she belonged to the Altar & Rosary Society and also was a member of the UAW. Rose was predeceased by her husband Fred Laskey in July 1996 and her son Frederick Laskey in 2007.
Rose is survived by her daughter Cheryl (Anthony) DiTullio of Lockport; grandmother of Anthony (Kristine) DiTullio, Dena (Cam) Sallum both of Ohio, Matthew (Kendra) DiTullio of Lockport, Lisa (John) Keddie of Ohio, Tiffany Brown, Kimberly Laskey, Zachary Laskey and Bethany Laskey all of Lockport; sister of Mary Marino of Niagara Falls and the late Anthony, James, Joseph, John, Augustine, Vincent, Philip Sansone and Sarah Corrieri; sister-in-law of Jean Sansone of Lockport and Mary Jane Sansone of Florida; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Friday 3-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where prayers will be offered Saturday at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM to be celebrated in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorials to the Briody Health Care Facility Scholarship Fund, 909 Lincoln Ave., Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the family.
