Obituary of Robert Eberhardt

Robert E. Eberhardt passed away July 10, 2009 under the care of Hospice. Born November 10, 1919 in Brooklyn, NY he was the son of the late Reinbold and Viola (Halligan) Eberhardt. He was part of the Class of '37' from Lockport Senior High School. Robert worked for Harrison Radiator as a Product Cost Accountant for over 30 years retiring in 1982 where he sang in the Harrison Glee Club. He sang for many years in barbershop quartets, the First Baptist Church, and many weddings in and around Lockport. Robert was a member of the S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A., the president of the Lockport Concert Association, was a member of the "Tuscarora Four", which was his Barbershop Quartet, for over 20 years and was an avid Yankees fan.
Robert is survived by his wife of over 64 years Virginia (Cromwell) Eberhardt of Lockport; father of Robert R. Eberhardt, Valerie (Ken) Pettapiece both of Lockport, Claire (Steve) Giudici of Pattersonville, NY, the late Eric Eberhardt and Gail Eberhardt; Grandpa of Kristin (Kevin) Duffy, Susan (Roy) Cicman, James (Robin) Pettapiece and William Burd; step-grandfather of Alan Giudici and Jason (Kristen) Giudici; "BooBoo" grandpa to great grandchildren, two sisters in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 AM. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorials to Meals-on-Wheels, Roswell Park Cancer Institute or Niagara Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
