Emil E. Krentz passed away September 22, 2008 in Buffalo General Hospital.� Born August 18, 1920 in Buffalo he was the son of the late Emil and Loretta (Gagear) Krentz.� Emil served in the US Army from 1942 to 1944 during WW II, while in service he earned the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon, two Bronze Stars, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Unit Award and Victory Medal World War II.� Emil worked as an auto mechanic, which he has been since he was a teenager, for Rathke & Sons in Wrights Corners and for Lockport Auto Parts for 25 years retiring in 1985.� Emil was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where he served as a trustee, a charter member from 1939-Present and life member of the Wrights Corners Fire Company, Newfane VFW, the Blind Vets Association, Wrights Corners Sportsman Club and was an active conservationist.� He enjoyed hunting, camping and enjoyed going on several cross country trips which were the highlight of his retirement. � Emil is survived by his wife of 40 years Patricia (Morehouse) Krentz of Appleton; father of Pamela (Michael) Ryan of Williamsville, Constance Krentz of Lockport, Robert Riddle of Middleport and Kelly (James) Deno of Levittown, PA; grandfather of Jeffrey Ryan, Christopher Ryan both of Buffalo, Laura (Timothy) Hendrickson of Levittown, PA and James Deno of State College, PA; great grandfather of Kyle Hendrickson of Levittown, PA; brother of Donald (Irene) Krentz of Orchard Park, Rita Barker of Buffalo, Lorraine (Stephen) Patterson of Grand Island and Marilyn Krentz of Buffalo; also survived by several special nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. � Relatives and friends may call Tuesday 7-9 PM and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport.� Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 AM in Immanuel Lutheran Church, 7147 Ridge Road, Wrights Corners.� Memorials to the church or to the Wrights Corners Fire Company would be appreciated by the family. <h3>Visitation</h3> Tuesday, Sept. 23 7-9 PM and Wednesday, Sept. 24 2-4 and 7-9 PM <h3>Services</h3> Thursday, September 25 at 11 AM
