Obituary of Thomas Cassenti Sr.

Thomas Cassenti, Sr. passed away September 5, 2008 in Niagara Hospice House.� Born April 14, 1932 in Lockport he was the son of the late Loreto and Josephine (Sposito) Cassenti.� Thomas served in the US Army from 1949 to 1952.� He worked for Harrison Radiator as a Methods Operator retiring in 1985 after 31 years.� Thomas was a member of the UAW, Eagles, Moose and IOOB.� He enjoyed fishing, hunting and collecting.� Thomas was predeceased by his wife Maureen E. (Wilkins) Cassenti.

Thomas is survived by his children Loretta (George) Troester of East Amherst, Diana Cassenti of South Carolina and Thomas (Carla) Cassenti, Jr. of Lockport; step-father of Angela (Gerald) Amenta of Buffalo and Jon (Diana) Pohlman of West Seneca; grandfather of twelve and great grandfather of four; brother of Rose Pullano of Rego Park,NY, the late John, Carmello, Samuel, Natalino, Phillip and Christ Cassenti; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Reltiaves and friends may call Sunday 7-9 PM and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where prayers will be offered Tuesday at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 391 Market Street, Lockport.� Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.� Memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the family.
