Obituary of Diana Garvey Blake

Diana Marie (Garvey) Blake passed away August 5, 2008 in Niagara Hospice House at the age of 44 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Born February 2, 1964 and raised in Lockport she is the dearest daughter of William and Marlene (Rinaldo) Garvey of Lockport. Diana worked for 20 years as a waitress for Friendly Restaurant in downtown Lockport. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Pendleton and Diana enjoyed attending services at The Chapel at Cross Point. She was very active and outgoing and as a result leaves behind at multitude of great and wonderful friends who will miss her dearly.
Besides her parents Diana is also survived by her cherished husband Jeffrey Blake and her beloved son Cody Blake both of Lockport. She was the adoring sister of John (Maryann) Garvey of Canada, Wally (Carol) Garvey and Rick (Josephine) Garvey both of Lockport. Diana was the loving aunt Nina of Mary, Katie, Michelle, William and Lindy and great aunt to "Little Frankie".
Relatives and friends may call Thursday and Friday 1:30 - 4 and 7- 9 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 AM in Pendleton United Methodist Church, 6864 Campbell Boulevard. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
