Conkling, Jean Louise (nee Philipps) passed away July 19, 2008 in United Memorial Hospital, Batavia.� Born June 18, 1926 in Alden she was the loving daughter of the late Joseph Philipps and late Laura Mae (late Floyd) Warner.� Jean worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone Co. in Amherst.� She is survived by her beloved husband Dr. Ralph Conkling of nearly 60years (August 14) of Darien Center, NY; dear mother of Betty Mae Martin of California and JoAnn (Robert) Lepsch of Pembroke, NY; sister of the late Elizabeth "Betty" (late Ralph) Young; loving grandmother to Andrew Martin, Amy and Melissa Lepsch; caring Aunt to Debra (Richard) Corica, Diane DiLaura and Rev. Daniel Young.

No prior visitation. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 2021 Sandridge Road, Alden, NY on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Jean to St. Luke's Mission, PO Box 448, Buffalo, NY 14215 would be appreciated by the family.� Online condolences at �www.pruddenandkandt.com.
