Roger A. Newton II of Lockport died on Friday, June 20th at home.� He was 64. Roger was loved by his large family and many friends. He will be missed. �����Roger was born in Lockport on March 31, 1944;�the son of Roger and Mary Agnes Root Newton.� He was a 1962 graduate of Lockport High School and a 1973 graduate of Miami University of Ohio.� Mr. Newton served in the US Army including a one year tour in Vietnam in 1968.� ���� Roger loved to sail; he was a sailing instructor in the 1970s. He loved hunting and the outdoors. Roger was an avid lifelong reader.� ���� Throughout his life, Roger lived in Western New York, Oxford, Ohio, Alexandria, Virginia, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, and Oswego, New York. He is survived by his wife, Sara Beth Newton (Gardner), four children: Margot Rodelli of San Clemente, California; Martin K. Newton of Raleigh, North Carolina; Elspeth C. Newton of Seattle, Washington; and Claire C. Newton of Lockport. He is�also survived by two grandchildren: Jake and Taylor Battey of San Clemente, and two sisters: Patricia Hagen (Robert) of Lockport, and Margaret Zusky (Paul) of Wellesley, Massachusetts, as well as several�nieces and nephews. ���� A memorial service will be held Tuesday 11 am at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St, Lockport. <h3>Services</h3> Tuesday June 24, 2008 11AM
