Obituary of Robert Stoll

Robert W. Stoll, 73, son of the late Donald and Blanche (Chaplin) Stoll, was born on February 1, 1935, and went to be with the Lord and his pre-deceased daughter, Mary Jane (Stoll) Ott, on June 19, 2008.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty (Quagliano) Stoll, three sons, R. Michael (Belinda) Stoll, Timothy (Joann) Stoll, Donald (Sheila) Stoll; five daughters, Robin (Skip) Bentley, Teri(Clifford) Holmes, Christa(Joseph) Provenzano, Carole (Joseph) Marra, and Margaret (Stoll) Thomas.� Also, survived by Mary Jane's husband, Dave Ott, one brother, D. Jack Stoll, two sisters, Patricia (John) Riley and Donna(Bill) Beshaw; twenty one grandchildren Rob(Cindy) Stoll, Krysten and Doug Stoll, Emily and Thomas Stoll, Branden (Amy) Stoll, Katie (Todd) Prynn, Vanessa Stoll, Todd & Elizabeth Bentley, Bobby and Staci Holmes, Nicole and Samantha Provenzano, Joey and Jacob Marra, Candice, David and Kayla Ott and Adam and Ryan Thomas; Four Great-Grandchildren, Damian Carpio, Jalen Centeno, Kaylee Stoll and Jackson Prynn.� Robert is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, & dear friends.

Robert graduated from DeSales Catholic School in 1952, where he was an All-Catholic football player. He retired from Harrison Radiator Division in 1995, where he was a model maker for over 40 years.� He was a mentor to many young children, for over 35 years, volunteering his unique coaching skills for Lockport Little League Baseball, beginning with his own sons, in the pee wee division and retired with his grandsons in 1998.� He received the Channel 2 news Jefferson Award of distinction and the General MacArthur youth award. Robert was an avid golfer, and spent over 45 years playing the game he loved. He was a life long Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, and Boston Red Sox fan.� He will always be remembered by his dedication to his family and his volunteer work with children.

Friends may call Saturday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and Sunday 7 to 9 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport.� A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday morning at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport.� Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.� Memorials to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905 would be appreciated by the family.
