Marilyn J. Chase passed away March 2, 2010 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born January 27, 1927 in Lockport she was the daughter of Rutherford and Eva (Goldstein) Chase. Marilyn worked as the bookkeeper/accountant and was also the office manager for Saul Glazer Accounting retiring in 1983. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lockport where she belonged to the Ladies Aide and Altar Guild. Marilyn also belonged to the 29 and Holding Club. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, baking and playing cards. She is predeceased by her husband Arthur Eckert, who passed away in 2000.
Marilyn is survived by her two children Gregory (Sharon) Eckert of Lockport and Gail (Gary) Sherman of Middlegrove, NY; grandmother of Jonathan and Elizabeth Eckert, Christopher, Jeremy, Danielle, Cody and Kyle Sherman.
Relatives and friends may call Monday 4-8 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 AM in Trinity Lutheran Church, 67 Saxton St., Lockport. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery.
