Virginia Mae Bancroft on May 27, 2008 went to be with the Lord, whom she was so faithful to. Born on July 13, 1917, in Buffalo, N.Y., she was the daughter of Harry J. Shaw and Mae Reynders Shaw. During World War II she worked for Curtis Wright Manufacturing in Cheektowaga, N.Y. and later was a partner and accountant in the family business M. Bancroft and Sons.

A former member of Pendleton Free Methodist Church, Virginia taught C.Y.C. for moo years. Faithful supporter of Wrights Corner's Presbyterian Church and Pendleton Center United Methodist Church.

Virginia was previously deceased by her husband Morvylle Bancroft on September 9, 1988. Loving mother of Naomi (Warren) Laskey of Lockport, John (Judith) Bancroft of Panama City, FL, David Bancroft of Lockport, Donna (Gary) Navoyski of Lockport, Kevin (Bonnie) Bancroft of Lockport, and Cheryl (Terrence) Lastique of Long Beach, CA. Virginia was previously deceased by her son Donald Bancroft.� Devoted Grandmother of� 25 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Also survived by her brother John (Viola) Shaw of Bolivar, NY, and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Relatives and friends may call at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport NY on Saturday, May 31, 2008 from 7-9 pm and Sunday, June 1, 2008 from 3-8 pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday June 2, 2008 at Pendleton Center United Methodist Church at 6864 Campbell Blvd. at Bear Ridge Road at l0 am with Reverend Lew Bigler and Pastor Suzanne Block officiating. Interment will be at Acacia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the local chapter of Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Multiple Sclerosis Society, Wright's Corners Presbyterian Church or Pendleton Center United Methodist Church�.
