Patricia A. Laufer of Lockport passed away Monday March 1, 2010 from complication of a stroke. Born December 11, 1928, she was the daughter of Harold and Hazel (nee Anderson) Maloney. During her career she was secretary to the Niagara County Commissioner of Health. Patricia was one of the founding members of the Lockport High School Band Parents Club and was responsible for starting a memorial scholarship program for aspiring musicians at L.S.H.S. in honor of her son Daniel. She was married to the late Harry Laufer who passed away September 1, 1997, together they had four children, Daniel, Mark, Diane and Timothy. Patricia enjoyed travel and in her last year of her life took excursions to Ireland, Guatemala and Mexico. She was an avid photographer, enjoyed life and was an inspiration to those around her. Patricia is remembered by those closest to her as one of those rare individuals who was able to make friends with everyone she met.

Patricia is the mother of Mark (Elena) Laufer, Timothy Laufer, and the late Diane and Daniel Laufer. She is also survived by her grandchildren Caitlin, Kelsey and Alexis; mother in law of Jeanie Kelley and Dawn Laufer; sister in law of David Laufer and Joan Laufer.

All are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Saturday March 6th, 2010 at 10 o'clock in St. John the Baptist Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport.
