Edith "Eadie" R. Nasca passed away May 7, 2008 in Niagara Hospice House.� Born January 2, 1926 in Lorraine, Ohio she was the daughter of Violet (Somers) Reynolds, who turns 100 years old in August, of North Carolina and the late Howard Reynolds.� Edith worked for Gardner Insurance in Lockport as the secretary retiring in 1970.� She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church for over 60 years, serving in many capacities including an Elder, Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Kitchen Volunteer.� Edith was a strong and vocal advocate for the underprivileged children in the Lockport community.� Eadie started the Saturday Morning Program at DeWitt Clinton School in the 1960's.� She received the IWD community award for her volunteerism which included Meals-On-Wheels and Lockport Memorial Hospital.� Eadie was an avid golfer and bowler.� She was the biggest cheerleader for her children and grandchildren.� Eadie was always seen at their school and community activities and sports games.� She was an avid sports enthusiast, especially for the Ohio State Buckeye football team (Go Buckeyes!!).� Eadie also enjoyed her chardonnay with ice on the side.� She was predeceased by her husband of 34 years Joseph Nasca who passed away November 2, 2007.

Besides her mother Eadie is also survived by her children Virginia (Tom) Mulvey, Jeffrey (Carole) Hulshoff both of Lockport, David Hulshoff of Buffalo and the late Nancy Hulshoff; grandmother of Kristine (Craig) Towlson of MO, Brian Mulvey of SC, Jessica, Jared and Brad Hulshoff all of Lockport, Melissa (Chris) Bird of WA and David (Angie) Hulshoff, Jr. of MO; great grandmother of Brendan, Devin and Caden Towlson, Aedan Bird, David and Sam Hulshoff; sister of Howard (Phyllis) Reynolds, James (Carol) Reynolds both of NC and the late David Reynolds; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

There will be no prior visitation.� A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10 AM in the First Presbyterian Church, 21 Church Street, Lockport.� Memorials to the church or to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 or to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Church Street Station, PO Box 780, New York, NY 10008-0780 would be appreciated by the family.
