Robert Lee Sr. Obituary

Robert E. Lee, Sr. passed away suddenly April 15, 2008 in Erie County Medical Center.� Born October 11, 1924 in Lockport he was the son of James and Wilhemina (Ensminger) Lee.� Robert served in the US Army from 1943 to 1945 during WW II.� He owned and operated Layers Bakery famous for their crullers and also worked as a machinist at Strip It Co. in Akron, NY.� Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a great story teller.� He was a member of the NRA and Clinton Club.� Robert was predeceased by his wife Doris (Nerber) Lee on April 12, 1999.

Robert is survived by his son Robert E. (Phylinda) Lee, Jr. of Lockport was also predeceased by his daughter Karen Ann Lee.� He is survived by his three grandsons, Robert (Crystal) Lee, III, Jeremy Lee and Brent Miller.� Robert was the brother of the late Howard, Fred, Herbert, Ruthlyn Lee and Dorothy Butz.� He is also survived by his nephew James Lee and several other nieces and nephews and his faithful four legged friend, Willie.

Relatives and friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 AM.� Interment will be in North Ridge Cemetery.�
