Obituary of Walter Littman

Walter J. Littman passed away April 7, 2008 surrounded by his family and under the care of Niagara Hospice House.� Born October 8, 1927 in Lockport he was the son of Walter J. and Rachel (Holler) Littman, Sr.� Walter worked as a pipe fitter for Harrison Radiator for 38 years retiring in 1983.� He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo R.C. Church, Olcott, the Lockport Elks Lodge and the Knights of Columbus where he was a Past Faithful Navigator and Past Grand Knight.� Walter enjoyed spending time with his family, driving his red GEM around town, hunting, golfing, building his dream home in Gasport, playing the snare drum with the Lockport Eagles and Wolcottsville Marching Band.

Walter is survived by his wife of 60 years Rose (Lewis) Littman of Newfane, whom he married on January 17, 1948; father of Val (Linda Korolewski) Littman of Florensac, France and Larry (Gladys) Littman of Lockport; grandfather of Chad (Kathy Waters) Littman and Cory (Laura) Littman both of Newfane; proud great grandfather "Dutchie" as he was known to Hayden, Olivia, Greta, Alexa, Paige and Cade Littman.

Friends may call Tuesday 7-9 PM and Wednesday 3-7 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport where prayers will be offered Thursday will be offered at 9:15 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Charles Borromeo RC Church, Olcott.� Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum.� Memorials to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 or Equi-Star, Inc., PO Box 25, Newfane, NY 14108 or Challenger Sports League, 3511 Landers Lane, Gasport, NY 14067 would be appreciated by the family.
