Allen Schaffer Obituary

Allen G. Schaffer passed away suddenly February 14, 2010. Born November 29, 1926 in Trevorton, PA he was the son of the late Jacob and Hilda (Gilchrist) Schaffer. Allen served in the Navy during WW II from 1944 to 1946 where he was a Naval Air Gunner. He worked for NYSEG, Lockport for 43 years where he was the Customer Service Foreman retiring in 1990. Allen was a member of the American Legion and also the American Legion Band. He enjoyed square dancing and round dancing.


Allen is survived by his wife Daisy (Trego) Schaffer of Lockport; father of Patricia L. (Ira) Fox of West Oneonta, NY and Gregory A. Schaffer of Milwaukee, WI ; brother of Dean (Micki) Schaffer of Newfane, Wayne (Shirley) Schaffer of Manchester, PA and Mary Reitz of Lockport; also survived by several nieces and nephews.


There will be no prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 AM in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 5 Saxton Street, Lockport. Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum. Please visit www.pruddenandkandt.com to leave an online condolence to the family.

Services

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 AM in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 5 Saxton Street, Lockport.


Interment

Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum.
