I had the pleasure of being her student at Roy B.Kelley School in the 1980's. Our dreary day was suddenly lightened when we heard the thunderous rumbling of her big craft cart being wheeled to our room. Her entrance unforgettably boisterous and full of confidence as she announced that day's art project. Everyone was a Picasso and their work worthy of being displayed. She had a wonderful air of sophistication and carried herself like a great artist from another time, we watched in awe, and relaxed around her. When my father passed away in 4th grade, she took special care to quietly take me aside with a different project for me to make on Father's Day so I wouldn't feel left out. Always caring and considerate. To the family, you can be very proud of her, not many people can say they've made a difference- she can.

Our deepest sympathies to the Fricano family. Kitty was a one-of-a-kind lady. Sassy, savvy and brilliant with a great sense of humor and often comedic timing. She will be sadly missed. You are all in our prayers.

We are very sorry we could not attend the wake for Katherine. I remember her as an art teacher in elementary school. It was not my forte, but she and others in the department were always kind to me. May God bless you and your family, Amy.
