Obituary of Richard Lamont

Richard L. Lamont, Sr. passed away January 27, 2010 under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born June 22, 1935 in Lockport he was the son of Robert and Nina (nee Fallon) Lamont. Richard served in the US Army from 1955 to 1957. He worked for Snedeker's Meat Market, The Butcher Shop and Niagara County where he was a sealer for weights and measures. Richard enjoyed bowling, liked being out and about and going to LaPort's Restaurant and Wagner's Restaurant. He also enjoyed traveling especially to Gettysburg and Williamsburg. He is survived by his wife Josephine (nee D'Auria) Lamont of Lockport; father of Lori Lamont, Rich Lamont both of Lockport, Julie (Mark) Kavanaugh of California and Tim (Julie) Lamont of Wisconsin; grandfather of Justin, Jenna Lamont, Joe, Sadie Kavanaugh, Olivia and Georgia Lamont; brother of Joel Lamont of Lockport, the late Gary (Rita) Lamont and Donna Bennett; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 PM.
