Obituary of Mary Ann Newton

Mary Ann Newton passed away suddenly, January 21, 2015. Born in Buffalo n May 24, 1940 she was the daughter of Aloyisus and Dorothy (Degan) Kolb. She graduated from Lockpory High School and was a waitress at the Big Tree Inn, Danny Sheehans Restaurant, and Cammarata's Restaurant. Mary Ann also owned and operated the Pleasant Valley Tavern in Lockport for over 30 years. She enjoyed BINGO, playing cards, all her patrons from Pleasant Valley Tavern through the years and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Mary Ann was predeceased by her husband Richard Newton on February 28, 2011.
Mary Ann is survived by her children Tracy (Craig) Jensen, Jodie (Scott Townsend) Newton, and Kyle Newton; grandmother of Russell Sattler, Michael Newton, and Emily Stevens; sister of D. Jean Lang of Rochester and JoAnne Skyler of Madison, AL; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
There will be no prior visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial mass to be celebrated Saturday, January 24th at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Visit www.pruddenandkandt.com.
