Doris O. Kraatz passed away January 27, 2010 in Absolut of Gasport. Born April 7, 1925 in Patterson, NJ she was the daughter of Andrew J. and Gertrude (nee Wolstonholme) White. Doris worked briefly as a telephone operator. She was a member of the Rug Hooker Guild of CA and enjoyed rug hooking, gardening, reading, cooking and loving life at the farm house. Doris and her husband ran and volunteered at the Sr. Loretto Food Pantry. She was predeceased by her first husband Robert Oliver in 1986.
Doris is survived by her husband William E. Kraatz of Gasport; mother of Mark (Mary) Oliver and Robert (Cheryl) Oliver; step-mother of Carolyn (Tim) Henderson, Diane (John) Schwenz, Ellen (Gary) Larson, Jeff (Donna) Kraatz, Margaret Kraatz, Mark (Anne) Kraatz, Daniel (Jacqueline) Kraatz and Molly (Thomas) Budde; grandmother of twenty-one and several great grandchildren; sister of the late Robert, Ted and Doug White; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Friday 4-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 AM.
