Francis Hilliker Obituary

Francis X. "Gramps" Hilliker passed away January 23, 2010 in the Odd Fellows & Rebekah Health Care Facility. Born Jnauary 6, 1916 in Buffalo he was the son of William and Nellie (Schneider) Hilliker. Francis served in the US Army from 1944 to 1946 during WW II. He worked in production for 25 years at Guteral Steel retiring on April 1, 1979. Francis enjoyed fishing up in Canada. He is predeceased by his wife of 74 years Florence (Ryckman) Hilliker on September 12, 2009.


Francis is survived by his children Patricia Rizzuto of Tonawanda, Donald (Elaine) Hilliker of Lockport, Jean Ann Aloisio of New Jersey and Judith Weiler of Clarence. He is the grandfather of ten, great grandfather of twenty-eight and great-great grandfather of ten. Francis is the brother of Anna V. Beam of Lockport and the late Eleanor Black, William and Charles Hilliker; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.


Relatives and friends may call Monday 6-9 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 AM.
