Obituary of Jerome W. Porretta

Jerome W. Porretta passed away December 17, 2014 in Season Hospice Naperville, IL. Born on December 3, 1917 in Lockport he was the son of Chas and Katharine (Colletti) Porretta. He served in the US Army from 1942 to 1945 earning the American Theater Ribbon, Victory Ribbon, and Good Condruct Medal. He worked as a brick layer for various local companies and with his wife, Irene, with their auction company for many years. Jerome was predeceased by his wife Irene (Kulik) Porretta on July 12, 2013.
Jerome is survived by his children Jerome C. Porretta and the late Leslie Porretta; grandfather of Mary Ellen (Brent) Grier, Jennifer Bryson and Arthur Porretta; several great grandchildren and daughter in-law Eleanor Porretta; also several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Monday, Dec. 29th from 4-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Dec. 30th at 10 AM in All Saints Oratory, 391 Market St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
