Lucia Kathryn Badger, of Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones, Sunday, November 23, 2014, after a brief illness. She was 64. Born to the late George W. and Rosemary Gaffney Badger in Lockport, NY, she was a beloved classroom teacher and math and reading specialist at the Manville School, Judge Baker Children's Center, Boston, Massachusetts. Ms. Badger was a graduate of DeSales Catholic High School, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Emmanuel College, a Master of Education degree in Special Education from Wheelock College and a Master of Education degree in Reading from Simmons College.
She is survived by her sisters, Margaret (Raymond) Magno and Kristin (Gerald) Badger-Bach; her brother, James (Alison) Badger; nieces Victoria (Roland) Grap, Christine (Mark) Frieze, Jennifer D. Magno, Elizabeth (Christian) Barnes; nephews Jonathan (Timmie) Mitten, Jedidiah (Kristen) Mitten, and nine great nieces and nephews.
