Obituary of Raymond W. DeNeau

Raymond W. DeNeau, 87, passed away November 17, 2014 at Buffalo General Medical Center following a short illness. Born in Lockport he was the son of Frederick and Delia (Harrington) DeNeau. Ray was a graduate of Lockport High School and the University of Buffalo. He served in the US Navy from 1951 to 1955 aboard the USS Columbus. Ray worked for over 30 years at Harrison radiator Division of general Motors, retiring as supervisor of services. Ray was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rita.
Ray is survived by his children, Suzanne (James) Galley of Forest Park, IL and Jennifer (Michael) Atlas of Lockport; and his grandchildren Vincent and Emma Schad. He was the brother of Dorothy Anne Zayac of Arizona and the late Harold DeNeau, Mary Virginia Herberger, and Robert DeNeau. Ray is also survived by his sister-in-law Elizabeth Bumbacher of Gainesville, NY and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, November 21st at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Inurnment will be in Glenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094 or www.niagarahospice.org/donation.
