Obituary of Louise Scalzo

Louise Scalzo passed away November 13, 2014 in Absolut of Gasport, Royalton. Born in Buffalo on February 9, 1925 she was the daughter of Antonio and Calogera (Calandra) Bellissimo. Louise worked at several area businesses with Nortons Labs, Fisher Price, Harrison Radiator, Sheraton Hotel and at The Fieldstone Restaurant where she entertained customers singing with the band as well as waitressing there. She was responsible for getting Scalzo Park created in 1981, which was in honor of the Scalzo's Brothers and their business in lower town. Louise enjoyed singing, bowling, reading, and especially spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband Allen Scalzo on February 12, 1992.
Louise is survived by her two daughters Kerry L. (Nathan Mahomes) Scalzo of Lockport and Lori A. (John) Hogg of East Amherst; grandmother of Michael, Jeffrey, Anthony Hart and Kaitlyn and Julianna Hogg; sister of the late Joseph, Charles, Michael Riniolo, Ralph, Angeline Bellissimo, and Mary Ralabate; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Monday, Nov. 17th from 3-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Nov. 18th at 10 AM in All Saints Oratory at St. Joseph's Site, 391 Market St., Lockport. Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum.
