Obituary of Philip W. Jones

Philip W. Jones, Sr. passed away November 10, 2014 in the Veterans Hospital of Buffalo. Born in Dansville, NY on February 14, 1925 he was the son of Frederick and Marie (Marteen) Jones. Philip served in the US Army from 1943 to 1948 during WW II. He worked for 20 years at FMC in Middleport where he was an engineer. Philip was a member of St. Joseph's RC Church where he was a lecture and usher before joining All Saints Parish. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 319, was Past Grand Knight and a member of the 4th Degree of the Council. Phil was very active with the Lockport Little Loop as a coach. Philip was predeceased by his wife Maria (Roef) Jones on April 20, 2013.
Philip is survived by his children Edward (Cheryl) Jones of Sanborn, Maria "Mimi" (Nancy) Jones of Getzville, Linda (Douglas) Vincent of Lockport, Sandra (Robert) Bobzien of Lockport and Philip (Geri) Jones, Jr. of Wilson; 35 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother of Bernice Johnson of Massachusetts and the late Clara Woodruff, Ella Schlayer, Margaret Griswald, Frederick Jones and Albert Jones; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call SUNDAY, Nov. 16th from 3-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Nov. 17th at 11 AM in All Saints Parish, 76 Church St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Nov. 17th at 11 AM in All Saints Parish, 76 Church St., Lockport.

Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
