Obituary of Jerome H. Melerski

Jerome H. melerski passed away August 9, 2014 under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Buffalo on June 30, 1942 he was the son of Henry and Clara (Wesolowski) Melerski. Jerome served in the US Navy from 1959 to 1963 and worked for Strippit, Moog and retired from Taber, Inc. where he was a machine builder and assembler. He served as the fire chief of for Clarence Center in 1978 and enjoyed hunting, fishing competing in the in local fishing derby's winning in 1987 Elso Derby �&amp;quot; Niagara River. Jerome is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sandra (Engasser) Melerski; father of Michael (Brenda) Melerski and Jacquelyn (Kevin) Dossett; brother of Barbara (Carl) Beltz and the late Edward Melerski. Friends are invited to a memorial service on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 7 PM in the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6369 Wolcottsville Rd., Akron, NY 14001. Memorial donations to Niagara Hospice or Wolcottsville Volunteer Fire Co would be appreciated by the family.
