Obituary of Daisy LaPort

Daisy LaPort passed away July 18, 2014 under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Lockport on June 21, 1941 she was the daughter of Emily (Russell) Saxton and the late Fred Saxton. Daisy worked for Fisher Price for 23 years, then worked eight years for Securitas in Buffalo where she was a security guard and was a member of the Red Hats. Daisy is survived by her three children Louie W. LaPort, Seanna A. (Reuben) Byrd, and Clifford A. (Sara) Laport; her seven grandchildren Alia LaPort, Louie LaPort, Veronica LaPort, Reuben Byrd, Deanna Byrd, Lucas LaPort, and Nicholas LaPort. Relatives and friends may call Friday, July 25th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 26th at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Interment will be Cold Springs Cemetery.
