Obituary of Jacqueline M. Schichtel

Jacqueline Marie (nee Wohleben) Schichtel passed away July 10, 2014 after a long illness. Born June 6, 1971 in Lockport she was the daughter of the late Albert R. Wohleben and Joyce C. (Spring) Wohleben. Married to Daniel John Schichtel on March 1, 1995 her beloved husband of 19 years of wedded harmony. She was the sister of Deborah (John) Kinzly, Patricia (John) Preston, Michael (Susan) Wohleben, David (Mary) Wohleben, Jerry Wohleben and the late Karen Brooks; niece of Roy Spring; she is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jacquie was an animal lover and rescuer she spent much of her time helping and caring for animals her passion in life was helping and caring for others. A graduate of Starpoint Central in 1989 and Vocational BOCES as an LPN, she worked in health care for many years. Jacquie was an avid gardener some say she had quite the green thumb, which her and her husband enjoyed. Jacquie loved sun flowers especially and dolphins. She was fascinated with the sea and marine biology.
Friends and family may call Thursday, July 17th from 9 to 10:30 AM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport followed by a service in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 3921 Mapleton Rd., Wheatfield at 11 AM. Inurnment will be in Wheatfield Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, Memorials to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the Olmstead Eye Center, would be appreciated by the family.
