Obituary of Freda Maiorana

Freda E. Maiorana passed away January 9, 2010 in Briody Health Care Facility. Born July 24, 1938 in Lockport she is the daughter of Bertha J. (nee Sanmarco) Maiorana of Lockport and the late Samuel A. Maiorana. Freda was the principal at Washington Hunt retiring August 2, 1996. She was a past president of the St. Joseph Parish Council, past president of the Lockport Concert Association, was a member of the Lockport Women's College Club, Lockport Memorial Hospital Guild and several other community organizations. Besides her mother Freda is also the sister of Camille (John) Pasceri of Lockport, Nunzio (Charlotte) Maiorana of Florida and Larry (Mary) Maiorana of Las Vegas, NV; aunt of David Maiorana, Lt. Col. Ret. Joseph (Lisa) Maiorana, Ann-Marie (Jay) Towell, Julie Maiorana, Dominic (Molly) Pasceri and Samuel (Virginia) Pasceri; also survived by several other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Monday 7-9 PM and Tuesday 3-8 PM in Prudden &amp; Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where prayers will be offered Wednesday at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 391 Market St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorials to the Lockport High School Scholarship Fund or to Eastern Niagara Hospital - Lockport Site would be appreciated by the family.
