Obituary of Vera M. Whiting

Vera M. Whiting passed away June 6, 2014 in Briody Health Care Facility. Born in Rochester, NY on November 24, 1911 she was the daughter of Charles J. and Bertha (Wahl) Kleisley. Vera was a beautician for over 50 years owning Vera's Beauty Nook in Lockport. She volunteered at the YWCA and loved roses. Vera was predeceased by her husband Harry Whiting in 1964. Vera is survived by her nieces Linda (Paul) Thuman and Sharon (Stuart) Herlan and dear friend Ida Covell. She was predeceased by her brothers Elmo (late Lillian) Kleisley and Vernon (Dolores) Kleisley and also by her nephews William Kleisley and James Kleisley. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Visit www.pruddenandkandt.com. <h3>Visitation</h3> No prior visitation. <h3>Services</h3> Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 10 AM in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. <h3>Interment</h3> Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
