Obituary of Philip V. Muck

Philip V. Muck passed away May 24, 2014 in Westfield, NY under the care of Chautauqua Hospice. Born in Wilson, NY on April 23, 1918 he was the son of Harry M. and Alice (Van Horn) Muck. Philip served in the US Navy from 1945 to 1946 and worked for Harrison Radiator where he was a supervisor in the model shop retiring in 1968. Philip was also a partner of F.E. Pils Sheet Metal. He was a member of the Gasport Masonic Lodge, Lockport Alliance Church where he was a Sunday school Superintendent and teacher and also active in the Senior Royal Reapers Bible Group of the Church. Philip was predeceased by his wife Alma J. (Pechuman) Muck on November 6, 2011. Philip is survived by his daughters Joyce (John) Freeman and Phyllis (Greg) Winkler both of Westfield, NY and daughter-in-law, Carol Muck. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Carlos Muck, infant daughter, JoAnne Elizabeth Muck, and brother Timothy Muck. Also surviving are grandchildren, Michael (Janelle) Grout, Kevin (LuAnn) Grout, JoAnne (Chris) Peters, Matthew (Jill) Grout, Richard Weatherbee, David (Michelle) Weatherbee, Jason Muck, Ann (Ron) Coon, Michael (Bambi) Heideman, and David (Libby) Heideman. Also several great and great-great grandchildren, sister Harriet (Theodore "Ted") Socha of Lockport, sister-in-law Elenore Muck of Lockport and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 31st, in the Lockport Alliance Church, 555 Davison Rd., Lockport where a memorial service will immediately follow at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chautauqua Hospice, 20 W Fairmount Ave, Lakewood, NY 14750 would be appreciated by the family.
