I remember Gary always doing something for the neighborhood kids. Coming up with some great way to entertain them. A BBQ was always more fun if Gary was there! He use to take a laser pointer and point it at me from across the yard, while I was cooking in the kitchen. It would scare me have to death! We love you Gary!

Comstock Family, I am shocked at the news of Gary's passing. Those days of growing up on LaGrange,Harvey and Saxton are days I still cherish to this day. Sleepovers and making our own skateboards out of roller skates and of course smoking of the corn silk thinking we were getting one over on our parents. Little league baseball and playing football down at the park. They are great memories! May you all know you are in my thoughts and prayers and his memory will live on with me! Peace and Love, Greg

I remember when Gary made a tennis ball cannon for the annual block party. Those balls flew so high and I'm pretty sure he took secret delight in watching all of us run around trying to find them. He went all out on the paint job and built a mount for it too. Sharing that happy memory of him is my way of saying to the Comstock family and friends that I am sorry for your loss. I hope that in the coming days and weeks that you can reconnect with old friends, spend quality time with family, and take comfort in the healing power of Jesus Christ's sacrifice. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

As I've thought about Gary today, the image that stays with me is a picture of Gary standing on the dock on the shore of Lake Chatauqua. He took a long time to fish with Kimberlyn and my daughter Maren. Another picture shows Maren proudly displaying her 4-inch long perch. Gary treated Maren like his own and we will be forever grateful for Gary's kindness and love.

Kelsey and Kimberlyn: Until we moved away, Gary was like my second father. I was at KK's house as often as my parents would let me :) I remember the first time Gary and Kimberlyn switched the chairs on me while we were eating dinner and all of a sudden there was a farting noise coming from underneath me! After being blamed all dinner I finally figure out what was happening (farting machine on the chair) and KK and I tried to trick Gary whenever we could get away with it. I also remember one time Gary took Kimberlyn and I to the empty lots across from their house and sat us on his lap and let us drive his big white truck. It was always fun and games with Gary. Ice rink in the backyard, industrial swing set, playhouse, scavenger hunts... Sneaking into his office to play with office supplies. Thinking of you both. You are in my heart and prayers. I love you Gary! Love Maren

Kimberlyn and Kelsey- Years have gone by since the summers when I spent most of my free time at your house, but the memories that we share are forever with me. Gary was a sweet, gentle and loving man and treated everyone with kindness. Even when we began to see less and less of each other, I recieved reminders of your family's constant support. I will never forget during my senior year when I randomly received a "high five" in the mail, congratuating me on a successful volleyball season- a place I couldnt have reached without my summers in the Comstock's backyard, playing and laughing.

We write this with heavy hearts as we send our condolences to Kelsey and Kimberlyn and the whole Comstock family. Gary was a classy gentleman who was always there for everyone. Gary had that dry sense of humor that we will all miss. I will truly miss the honor of him being my partner on the racquetball and volleyball court.

I remember all of the fun things Gary did at block parties or Summer evenings in the back yard of course. But the memory that came to my mind when I heard of his passing was of us all sitting together in your kitchen (for Kristen's wedding) shooting the breeze, and Gary listening in rapt attention just because he cared about us. To me, it seems like he cared about everybody he came in contact with--and the other memories shared confirm that. He was a wonderful man. Thank you for sharing him with us. We all share in your grief and are praying for an extra measure of peace and comfort for those closest to him.

Kelsey, Kimberlyn and the Comstock family, I am so sorry for your loss. I pray you have the strength to get trhough this rough time. Gary was a great guy. From the day I met him at Alfred in the fall of 1977 we became the best of friends. We shared to many good times through college, living on the lake in Rochester with our dual Corvettes to finally settling down with the loves of our lives and starting families. I regret that we did not stay in touch as much as we could but I thought of him often. As I look back at all the memories, we shared a lot of laughts. Who can forget his pranks. He once secretly put barbells in my camping gear when he knew I was going hiking in the state lands. When I got there, really tired, I unpacked and couldn't figure out how all this stuff got into my backpack! The worst part was I had to carry them out too! We were roommates in college, housemates in Rochester, he was my best man, Godfather to my daughter, and I loved him like a brother (the brother I never had). He was truly my best friend and he will be missed but never forgotten. He will always live on in me and everyone that knew him.

I knew Gary back in the mid 80's where I met him and Frank at the Holiday Health Spa on Elmwood. We spent many Fri/Sat nights out dancing around town - sometimes joined by his brother John. Unfortunately we lost touch after I went away to college. I have so many wonderful memories of Gary He was a special man with a heart of gold. Rest in peace my friend.

Mrs. Comstock and Kimberlyn, As both of you know, me and Kimberlyn were inseparable throughout our middle school years. Your family has grown to be my second family. Mr. Comstock was like a second father to me. I remember he used to always get me and Kimberlyn Frankie's every Friday and would take us to the Y so we could practice volleyball. I cannot explain how sad it is to have lost such a great man, but I will alway remember him for all the great memories I've experienced. I love you guys and you will remain in my prayers. If there's anything I can do, I'll alway be here!

Gary was a genuine person, who we will miss dearly. Every year we come to Lockport and enjoy the times at Gary and Kelsey's. He made you feel at home, and always enjoyed having our children Danielle and Douglas come and stay with them. We will miss Gary's great smile, his funny jokes, his laughter which I can still hear. He was such a strong, fun loving, sweet, kind, generous, and happy guy. We Will Love You Always, and Will Miss You Forever!
